Case Study: Cocobananas
In a celebration of everything Brazilian this vibrant colourful beach bar and club comprises two floors. The ‘Casa Noturna’ first floor night club and top floor beach shack bar presented its first challenge in the 10 days time frame we had to re fit the venue. The brief was to create a vibrant and colourful space whilst making sure all elements complemented each other.
The ultimate challenge was the customised VW camper van bar serving Caipirinha’s. This key feature and original element of the build involved renovating an old classic VW in our workshop, before chopping it into pieces to get it up very narrow stair well and reinstating it on site.
The beach shack feel is carried through the first floor décor with hanging vintage surfboards, volley ball’s and bikini bunting, whilst the top floor space is designed to feel like you’re on the streets of the favelas.
The main space incorporated décor such as a surf board roof over bar, beach ball lights and corrugated ceiling feature.
Up cycled materials such as crates and oil drums add to the casual feel, contrasted with rich colourful graphics and multicoloured booth seating.
