Kanaloa London1

Kanaloa London

A city based tropical tiki cocktail bar and late night club.

Kanaloa being the Hawaiian God of the sea takes its inspiration from distant tropical shores. Guests are transported to a tropical paradise merging traditional Polynesian materials such as palm matting, bamboo paneling and scallop shell lanterns with more polished decorative finishes befitting its city location.

Case Study: Kanaloa London

As the sister venue of Mahiki, designed for Novus Leisure, Kanaloa takes its lead from traditional tiki styling but takes decorative features to a new scale. Installations include a back lit fish float ceiling that covers the entire ceiling of the dance floor with over 400 fish floats and huge scallop shell thatched lanterns that adorn the bar and a hanging bamboo pole ceiling with led lighting.
The ‘Tree House’ seating areas have 6 meter palms that break through the space adding to the sense of scale and our signature hand carved tiki’s give the bar it’s authentic Polynesian feel along with museum styled display cases with artefacts from Papa New Guinea.
