A Contemporary Take on Classic

A Frame design were enlisted help to bring East London Pub Co’s vision to life, for The Gun in London's Spitalfields. The East London Boozer which was first opened in 1929, was to re-open in a new space with a radical transformation. The vision, developed by S&Co. and Draw Studio, was to create an all day venue with a nod to its artillery heritage but with a distinct contemporary feel.

The main feature in the centre space is two suspended factory style windows. We manufactured and installed the black steel frames and hand aged the glass panes with vibrant oil and ink colours.

A Frame Design manufactured and installed factory inspired black steel partitions in the space, complete with dappled glass. The wall mural was designed and hand painted by our talented team of artists. We also sourced a reclaimed fire surround and mantle mirror to complete the snug area.

We sourced and installed reclaimed ceiling beams, as well as luxurious velvet curtains, vintage style light fittings, antique rugs and other decorative elements throughout the venue.
